Eine Performance von und mit Jonas Kocher und Dafni Stefanou

 

 

Akkordeonist und Komponist im Jahr 1977 geboren, Jonas Kocher ist stark interessiert an instabilen Situationen

sowie am Prozess des Hörens. Seit über 15 Jahren arbeitet er in sehr unterschiedliche künstlerische und soziale Kontexte

und mit Musikers, Tänzern, Bildende Künstler, Schauspieler, etc. Als Akkordeonist ist er fester Bestandteil

der internationalen Improvisationsszene. Er hat zahlreiche Konzerte in Europa, Russland, USA und Japan gegeben.

Derzeit sind seine regelmäßigen Partner Musiker wie Axel Dörner, Radu Malfatti, Jacques Demierre,

Joke Lanz, Hans Koch, Gaudenz Badrutt, etc.

 

Als Komponist schreibt Jonas Kocher Werke an der Grenze von Neuem Musiktheater, Installation und Konzertstücke.

Seine Werke würden an der Art Biennale Thessaloniki, Festival Jardins Musicaux, SMC Lausanne,

Umlaut Festival Berlin, Biennale Zagreb, IGNM Basel, etc. aufgeführt.

Dafni Stefanou is a dancer and dance teacher born in Athens Greece and now based in Biel/Bienne.

She studied dance at the State School of Dance in Athens, and at P.A.R.T.S in Brussels. She collaborated with choreographer

Angeliki Stellatou (GR)Julyen Hamilton (GB), Susanne Mueller Nelson (CH), Kris Verdonck (B)... Since 2008,

Dafni Stefanou focuses on instant composition and explores the relationship between music and dance.

She collaborates with the musicians, Lê Quan Ninh, Hans Koch, Irena Tomazin, Jonas Kocher,

Marjolaine Charbin, Eiko Yamada, the dancers Paolo Cingolani, Paulina Kremasta, Claudia Pellicia,

Vasiliki Tsagkari, Mina Ananiadou, Franck Beaubois.

 

Dafni Stefanou is also involved in interdisciplinary projects with artist Ruedy Schwyn and Jonas Kocher (

Art Biennale Thessaloniki 2015, Centre Pasquart Biel/Bienne...). She is the initiator of Ballaladum,

a music-dance performance project for infants and is currently involved in the project Territoires Dansés en Commun (F/CH).

In 2019 she took a grant from CicaS to deepen her ongoing work and research on presence Transparacy

as a quality of presence with Lily Kiara (NL). She teaches creative dance to children and contemporary dance and improvisation to adults.
